Public Transport
The town of Aigle and the Alpes Vaudoises region uses the railways as its principal form of public transport but, like the Col des Mosses, is also served by the post bus.
Aigle is easily and regularly accessible, it being one of the main stops on the Swiss rail network's Geneva-Brig line. In winter, the TGV also makes a stop there en route from Paris. The Chablais public transport system, based at Aigle train station, brings the whole Chablais and Alpes Vaudoises region within easy reach.
The cog train from Agle to Leysin makes the journey in less than 30 minutes, a service that runs every hour during the day. The four train stations in Leysin (Village – Vermont – Feydey and the Grand Hotel) make for a comprehensive and much appreciated village service.
The Col des Mosses is reached from Aigle by the « Aigle – Le Sépey – Diablerets » train and from Le Sépey by the post bus. The journey from Col des Mosses to Château d’Oex is also by post bus.
