Educational trail
Designed to appeal to a wide audience, the educational trail of Ulo the Fox is a specially laid out track comprising several different marker posts each of which make learning the skills of orientation and map reading a fun-filled task.
Open from mid-May to mid-October, the trail presents and explains in an interesting way exactly what a topographic map is, how to read it and how to establish your location in the area, particularly in the mountains.
Along the Carro track, setting off from Lioson d’En bas, 12 explanatory signposts are spread out in an easy to follow order so that you can quickly understand the basics of orientation and location in the helpful company of Ulo the Fox. It’s an engaging family day out and one which improves your general knowledge at the same time.
The last signpost poses a questionnaire which will enable you to find your way back to Les Mosses by using the knowledge gained along the trail.
