The regional nature park Gruyère Pays d’Enhaut
The regional nature park Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut illustrates the natural lushness and the agropastoral culture of the Pre-Alps. The cradle of Gruyère AOC and Etivaz AOC is recognised as a site of national importance.
The regional nature park Gruyère Pays-d’Enhaut covers an area of 518 square km and has a population of 12,000. This nature park in the Pre-Alps of the Lake Geneva and Fribourg Region is the cradle of a joint culture in terms of cattle breeding, cheesemaking, folklore and armaillis (mountain farmers). Gruyère AOC and Etivaz AOC come from this region.
The regional nature park Gruyère Pays-d’Enhaut proposes the following discovery routes: GRAND TOUR, a 10-day hike for experienced walkers, and CHEMINS DE GRUYERE offering itineraries on historic cheese and Alpine trails.
